For those of you who thought Ronaldo would go two games in a row without scoring I say, bad luck.
This is La Liga teams we are talking about and when one of those teams is Real Madrid then you can be almost sure that Ronaldo is going to be on the scoring sheet.
Real Madrid won the away leg 0-2 and hence butchered Osasuna 4-0 throughout the course of two legged tie.
Barcelona have their game tonight against Getafe away from home. Barcelona lead the tie 4-0 from the first leg so this away leg is nothing to drool over as well.
Ancelotti said in the post match presser that Ronaldo basically killed the game with that first goal but I think in his heart (or head even) he knows that Real Madrid had killed off the tie when they did not concede a goal at home and were able to score two goals for the better.
He also knows that this victory or hell even a victory in Copa Del Rey final is not going to be enough for him to save himself from getting fired by Real Madrid hierarchy.
In Fact, he should count his lucky stars that Real Madrid face schalke in the Champions league. I would have loved to see Ancelotti’s Real Madrid going up against Manchester City or Manchester United or even Arsenal.
Good thing he has Ronaldo in his side along with other plethora of stars who keep on winning games for Real Madrid on the basis of pure quality rather than tactical advantage which was so prominent last year under Mourinho.
