“A World Cup without me is nothing to watch so it is not worthwhile to wait for the World Cup.”

Further more, after that statement Zlatan was asked about Ronaldo being the best player in the world to which his reply was

“I don’t know. All I know is that I scored 2 goals and he scored only one goal more than me”

No Zlatan. You’re wrong. Ronaldo has scored one more goal in virtually every match of his career when compared to you.

Zlatan sound cocky there. Bitter perhaps.

There is a reason why the only player giving Messi some sort of competition in this generation is Ronaldo. Only Ronaldo has been able to rival Messi in terms of individual performances and sheer dominance on the pitch.

The reason is simple and that is, these players (Ronaldo, Messi, Ribery and not Zlatan) keep on working hard and hardly talk down to other players. Zlatan sounded rude there. Perhaps still contemplating over the fact how Ronaldo steam rolled his national side in front of his own people.

Ronaldo’s hard work and humility in terms of his ability (though he also ,sometimes, gives rather dumb answers to simple questions) is the reason why he will go down as one of the greatest goal scorers of all time. And whenever people will remember Messi, they will remember Ronaldo. Not Zlatan.

Zlatan is going to retire as a player who came and who went. Of course he is better than 90 percent of the player in the world but with answers like those, I think even if he was better than Messi, people would still hate him for his attitude towards this defeat. Religiously speaking, he would go to hell no matter which faith he belonged too.

Obviously that does not change the fact that he has a rocket shot on him. Doesn’t change the fact that he is never been in the running for the best player in the world as well and perhaps that’s the step he needs to take in order to achieve that. He is good but the players he is rubbing shoulders with are also good and perhaps better than him.

Zlatan’s talent is to his  ablility to score outrageous goals from 30 or even 50 yards out through overhead kicks against certain nationals sides.

But that’s all there is to Zlatan. Some tricks and flicks. No real purpose of play.
