Just like last season Real Madrid have a lot of talent on the bench this season. Isco is one of those players who started his Real Madrid career in grand fashion. He scored a handful of goals and had some assists as well. Generally he looked really comfortable on the ball and linked up with his teammates with surprising ease.

He still pretty young. He can run  a lot. In fact, after watching Ozil’s performance last night against Dortmund, a match which Arsenal won 0-1, I think Isco has had more impact at Real Madrid than Ozil at Arsenal. The most important thing to remember is that Isco is almost as good as Ozil in terms of ability on the ball. But Isco backs that up with great work rate and tries to position himself very well when Real Madrid do not have possession of the ball.

Obviously he is Spanish so should be given a bit more preference than others as Real Madrid, after all, is a Spanish football club.

It’s difficult to fathom why Ancelotti has given him very little  playing time  in the last 4 or 5 games. I think he should at least be used as something of a super sub if not a starter.

Question is who will Ancelotti pull out of the first team in order to make space for Isco. Answer is, Benzema. The best option, perhaps, would be to use a planned rotation policy. Isco should definitely get more playing time, he looks very comfortable dribbling in tight areas of the pitch.
