Real Madrid drew 2-2. Juventus took the lead (similar to the Real Madrid’s home leg) through a penalty and Vidal did not hesitate to put it past Casillas. Real Madrid came back in the second half, Ronaldo scored with a neat finish after a perfect through ball by Benzema. Bale gave Real Madrid the lead in the match with a bazooka finish with his low back lift left foot which left Buffon standing. After that, Varane (culprit for giving Juventus a penalty through his bad tackle on Pogba) again did not intercept the cross well enough. Llorente was there to pounce on the opportunity to make it 2-2 for Juventus. And, that’s how the match ended.

Bale, again, deserves a special mention. He did waste 2, 3 good opportunities and perhaps the likes of Barcelona, Chelsea or Milan would not give him that many but he took his last chance in an awesome manner. He is really starting to show the world why Real Madrid payed 100 million euros for him.

Ronaldo, as consistent as always, did not perform to the level that he might have wanted to for the night but did get a vital away goal.

And before I forget, Iker Casillas. Man, just sell Diego Lopez. I mean, this is a strange predicament for Real Madrid. Both goal keepers are so so good. I mean, both are world class. Absolutely world class. Casillas saved at least 2 confirm goals last night. Had it been Diego Lopez playing, I think Juventus would have won 4-2 on the night.

In summary, even though the striker (Ronaldo and Bale in this instant) get all the credit and make all the headlines but for Real Madrid, Casillas won the match for Real Madrid with his outrageous saves (multiple of them).
