Real Madrid are finally taking big strides in the transfer market albeit not as big as the ones taken last season (but those were just insane steps). Reports now claim that Real Madrid have concluded the transfer of Khedira from Stuggart but nothing has been made official yet.

Khedira is more like a younger Ballack though his main strength is his positional sense. Khedira is 23 and impressed everyone at the FIFA WORLD CUP 2010. With Guti and Raul gone now, I think Mourinho can afford to add some more strength into the squad.

Real Madrid are also believed to be close to signing Maicon from Inter Milan. Apparently, both the clubshaveagreed on a fee but Maicon’s wage demands are not what Real Madrid expected, therefore the negotiations have stalled again.

Maicon and his people think that somebody is trying to damage Maicon’s reputation and sabotage the negotiations. Do not know what he means by saying that. If wages are the reason then surely Maicon should know about the reason.
