This week we have Deportivo La Caruna coming to the Santiago Bernabeu and let me just start of by saying, that they are going to be tough to beat.
Real Madrid would be looking to get another win here to add to their 4 match winning streak and while the media has been busy with poor refereeing decisions helping madrid and all the saga surrounding Ramon Calderon and his resignation as the president of the club, it has been reported by Marca that Juande Ramos has finally chosen the player he wants for the Champions League games.
Remember, that only Diarra or Huntelaar can play in Champions League, not both. Reports say that Ramos has gone for Diarra due to his impressive performances in both of his matches so far while Klass Jan Huntelaar is yet to score a goal.
Huntelaar, to me, looked out of form and out of touch. While Diarra, though didn’t play much with Portsmouth before coming to Real Madrid, was extremely fit due to the fact that he played in the EPL before and Huntelaar played in the Holland League (I cant really recall it’s media name though).
Real Madrid are on a 4 match winning streak and Juande Ramos has not lost a single game after the El Clasico game against Barcelona and that too, was tight. All this means that Barcelona still can’t start to celeberate the title as Real Madrid still have some hope or recovering.
While Schuster was incharge, I was not even sure if Real Madrid would finish in the top 4. We should also remember that Deportivo bet us 2-1 when we visited them in the first game of the season and now, Real Madrid players must be looking to avenge that defeat by returning the favour.

As you can see that Deportivo have won just 1 game out of their last 5 games. Though all games have been against top sides like Barcelona and Sevilla, but still, a defeat is a defeat.
Juande Ramos will be without Guti and Rubén de la Red, as well as Mahamadou Diarra and RuudVanNistelrooy, who are both out for the season. Fabio Cannavaro, Jerzy Dudek and Dani Parejo are doubtful.
The main man to watch for Real Madrid is undoubtly going to Arjen Robben. He has been in devastating form since his return from injury and has lifted the morale of this Real Madrid side single handedly.
Deportivo cannot be allowed to win tonight at any cost because Barcelona have won their game 4-1, again a thrashing.
We are 12 points behind Barcelona and if we draw, we will be 14 points behind them.
Anyway, I think it is going to be a tight game, as Real Madrid now a days do not play like GALACTICOS played for the obvious reasons and we now do have the ability to grind out results which we did not have when he had all the Zidanes and Ronaldos.
So I think, Real Madrid is going to win this game, probably 2-1, Arjen Robben is going to be the difference. I say, Higuain and Raul with the goals.
Oh yeah, and the squad list
Salgado, Pepe, Ramos, Cannavaro, Heinze, Torres, Metzelder
Lass, Gago, Sneijder, Robben, Drenthe, Van der Vaart, Javi Garcia
Raul, Huntelaar, Higua
Here is the Interview from Juande Ramos.
Has the wind influenced in the decision to cut today’s training session short?
